Anyone on a Vulcan S?

Looking to see if anyone has a Vulcan S and your thoughts on it? I've got that itch again and I've been talked off the Sportster 883 by GTAM, so now I'm back to considering a cruiser again as I rarely ride, and thinking of moving on from the X.

Buddy bought a CMX700 (?) and it got me thinking about it, but I don't want that one...

Any other cruisers that fit into that category? EFI / ABS ideally / comfort for 200-300km days.

My 500X is great, but I want to try something new...and I figure why the hell not.

Any other suggestions for such a cruiser? I want a comfortable, mid-distance, and mid-size bike to replace the X.

I even thought of a Ducati 696 just for kicks as anything has more 'soul' than the Honda.

vulcan s will feel more like a sports bike with that motor, maybe not a bad thing.

they do make a honda rebel with the 1100cc motor from the africa twin now.
I'm sure the 1100cc Rebel is a MUCH better bike than the 500cc one I had. But another Honda?

I guess if I had to go Honda again...VFR800.

Victory Octane or Indian Scout. More ho, better tech, low price, lots of character. Good friend of mine has one and he loves it (also has a anniversary edition HD Electra Glide but he really adores that Scout for the quicker 200-300km blasts).

I always found the Indian scouts to NOT be cheap.

Very interested to see what you are going to pick @mimico_polak

While I would be happy to welcome you to the Vulcan club (mine's a 900 classic)- my next one would likely be a Scout or Rebel 1100. Or Sportster S. (and then i go back to being happy with Vulcan considering the low miles i did last year)

My main concern with the cruiser...and maybe it's from the Rebel is the vertical shock to the spine over bumps sitting in that position.

I found the slightly forward lean position is very good on my back, especially on the X where I can pull 8-12hr days with minimal comfort issues.

But I find my time of full day rides is slowly coming down as I just don't have time with 3 kids and family obligations.

Get a cruiser with short ape hangers. I easily adjust mine forward or back to get the right amount of bend at the waist. Also a larger cruiser will give you more room for that adjustment to stretch out your arms and still be bent at the waist.

Also, I rented a CB500X last week and I found it to be very comfortable. You will struggle to find a cruiser with more comfort.

You’d like to put an addition on the house , travel to Poland , buy a high end watch and a new motorcycle.

The cheapest option might be book therapy, maybe your benefits covers it .

I’m teasing . Sort of .

Dont forget the plan to win the lottery, that will take care of it all.

Also teasing. Also sort of....
