Anyone know metal fabricators?

Bought a used GS500F last year. While riding yesterday, the speedo/odometer broke off from the metal plate it was connected to. The right side is still connected, but right now I'm riding around with it duck taped because if the whole thing falls off...well, bad things will happen to me.

After investigation of stock GS500 parts I realized that one of the previous owners (I am 6th? or was it 5th?) decided to install clip on handle bars and fabricated his own metal plate. I'm not even sure if the stock parts would work right now because of how different they look than my bike. My choices seem to be

#1. Fabricate something.
#2. Revert to stock.

Would bringing the bike to Rosey Toes do me any good? I'm sure some professional opinion may give me more options.

There are places that will do custom metal work (all pretty expensive that I've found), but it sounds like what you need is something pretty simple. Just take it to a mechanic and see what they say.

Too far for the above post. Rosey Toes is already pretty damn farm for me. I live on the East side of Markham near 9th line.

I'm at Sheppard and McCowan if you want me to have a look at it.

Sent you a PM, thank you very much.

Can you post a pic of what the broken part looks like. I have contacts in sheet metal. I may be able to get it done.
