Hi,I`m an experienced rider planning to ride the Ganny this Thursday for the first time, looking for a ride partner.

Great riding with you also, best ride I`ve had this summer.Should be good for next Wednesday or Thursday.I`ll know better Monday, hope this is good for you.

Myself and a couple of friends are going to spend the weekend camping at Sandaraska and riding all weekend (Sept 23rd, 24th and possibly some on the 25th) if anyone is interested. Xhumeka, you ever get that 350 out there yet? I am bringing mine!

ah fk really??? oh well.. looks like its riding friday night, drinking saturday and riding sunday lol. Worst case scenario we can ride around east forest right? I am not well versed at the ganny, so anyone who might have some suggestions or ideas and wants to share, feel free! :)

Was there a few weeks ago, lots of roots in some places and some washouts but still fun.

Not yet, but one of these days I will!! Speaking of which though, I was riding near my folk's farm a few weekends ago just after the tornado that passed through Goderich (their farm is about 20 mins from Goderich) and this one wide sweeping turn had a tree down that I didn't see until WAY too late and I was going WAY too fast to do anything about it. I ended up laying the bike down on it's side at about 60km/h and sidling right into that damn tree.

That bike is a TANK!!!! Couple plastic scratches, other than that - still a champ! Kind of like me, a few scratches and a limp but still good to go ;)

Good to hear you made it out of that one injury free, that could have sucked! A tank they are, however, that can work both for you and against you lol If it gets stuck in the mud its not exactly light to get out haha. I have done a few stupid things on mine involving trees, and the only damage was the speedometer, but man, did it ever do a number on the speedo, I don't think you could even tell what it used to be afterwards lol Has anyone ridden in the east forest much? I have only ridden on the west forest, and if saturday is going to be a horse infested as expected, I think I will try the east forest if it recommended. Any recommended spots/parking to get in there?

Was there on Tuesday with the trail tour group and I loved it:)

I actually prefer some of the East forest trails (lots of nice single-track). Here's some of some East forest singletrack from a GTAM meet @ the Ganny last year:

You can take 115 to Kirby cutoff go east to Country RD.10 after 3to4 minutes turn left onto 10th line and park at E2 or park at forest centre, behind that is a gravel road(trail)10th line, that will also take you straight to east forest and E2 will be on your right.I usually park at P2 or even closer at P1 and ride over using Carmel 2nd Line. But be carefull on gas if you ride alot in the east forest especially on a MX 2stroke(small tank) when I showed BJ the east forest (see video)both of us hit reserve on the way back.

Yeah, I rode there. Conditions were great, not dusty at all with the occaisonal big puddle :) When we arrived on Friday, it was raining on and off, but Saturday was amazing. There were a ton of people too. I think the total KM we rode by the end of Saturday was upward of 200 lol. I even met another rider with an 84 XR350 too!

Thanks for the update, sounds like you had great couple of days riding.I bet even with tons of riders there is still plenty of space.I plan on riding tomorrow, arriving about noon, hopefully there will be some other riders there,I hate riding alone.

Hey sooty, I can't ride on the weekdays, but on weekends I like heading out there. If you are looking for someone to go with, lemme know. I live in Acton, so not too far from you. My friend and I go fairly often, but I need him to go as I don't have a truck! lol Have fun out there! and btw, even if its packed, you still rarely see other bikes except for the parking areas.
