I rode in my torques all last season and I really like them.
Easy to put on and take off.
Look decent when you're off the bike and a very sleek profile.
On top of that they provide great protection.
Can't go wrong IMO. Good luck with the hunt!

@opener.

I bought my women sport boots from Altimate 2 years ago. Got them from the owner right at their store. They are quality boots that lasted me 2 season already. still water proof, no rip no tear, and zipper is still working. All the slidings are still intact. Good protection so far as I had drop my bikes with those boots when i first started, also had an accident where i binned my bike. I am very happy with those boots and are looking to wear them next season! Cheers, switchx

THX for the replies peeps.Might go with the altimates look cool and as cmykboy says leave me dollars local.

Had a pair of boots from Altimate.
Started to come apart after 4 months of riding. Contacted them about it and was told to take the boots to a
shoe cobbler to get them fixed.
Boots were also suppose to be water proof and they were not.
Bottom line is they look good and are priced rite. Quality sucks and customer support is even worse.
I agree with supporting Canadian businesses but these guys need to stand behind there product.
Won't buy boots from them again.

I had a pair of the half-height Altimate boots and liked them. They protected me very well when I totalled my bike and slid 40 feet down the road - and I can still wear them (just a couple of scrapes). But I then upgraded to a Dainese Torque Out because of the added protection (better ankle protection, higher boot).

I've ridden in a pair of Altimate Speed boots ( ankle high) for 2 seasons. Comfortable. Good basic protection. Never had any problems with seams or zippers.

Just picked up a pair of Icon Reigns at the bikeshow. GP Bikes had them on sale for $129. They are well reviewed by SportBikeTrackGear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Me6eIlN8cfs and would be a good alternative to the Altimate.
