Anyone have a FIM license here and competed overseas

Just a random garage thought while sitting and staring at my bike. My research has lead me to you needing to be a member of CMA and to participate in some events to gain exp. Then you'd have to contact fim and they'd give you the details on how to get licensing along with the documentation (health records, getting their insurance, agreeing to their terms/conditions, etc). Anyone here have exp through getting FIM licensed can offer their experience and how it worked for them?

My understanding is that the CMA is undergoing a revival under new ownership/management, so the situation now might not be what it has been in the past (hopefully better, because the past was a nightmare).

They are still not affiliated with the regional and national roadracing organisations that operate in this area (CSBK, SOAR, RACE which is also under new ownership and management this year). This may take some time. Their "news" page includes news items from CSBK, which is a hopeful indication that, just maybe, they've been talking to each other.

Best bet ... call them. Home | CMA

Ben went to Suzuka to race this past summer. The CMA is a lot easier to deal with no that the witch who was leading it is now gone.

It is much easier to get an FIM licence. We sent two young gentlemen to Spain for the FIM MiniGP series this past October.

CSBK and CMA are working together a bit to help with the FIM licensing and some other things
