Oh boy...the flaming starts.

Some people have these accounts for work which have unlimited checks. It's very common for people to ask about these on car forums.

Someone may have purchased the package that allows you to run 5 reports. They might of used only 2 or 3 before they found the car they're interested in.
So they will have an extra 2 or 3 reports available that will go to waste if they don't use it.
Therefore, they're not really paying for them, they just have a valid account with available reports that will eventually expire.
Why not help a fellow rider if they can!?

CARFAX doesn't keep database for bikes in Canada. So if that's a bike VIN, it won't do you any good to run it. I tried it last year when I bought the 125...fortunately CARFAX refunded my money right away when I emailed them.
 
I agree with what other's have said that it's not fair for the person that paid for the membership. It's just that if anyone has an existing account and wouldn't mind running a check. I'm pretty sure that my friend may pay a small fee too.. It's actually for a car.. just trying to help my friend.. appreciate your input guys..

Not so much about the fairness but my train of thought is that if he's being cheap about a carfax, he should rethink purchasing a motorcycle...
