Yes - definitely recommend. As soon as you get there, book the bike tour down Mt. Haleakala - leave at 3 am in the morning to watch the sun rise at the summit, then bicycle (coast) down the mountain and have breakfast. The time difference makes getting up at 3 am a lot easier. Then theres Molokini, a small island off Maui that's ideal for snorkelling, snuba or scuba diving. There was a submarine ride/tour at one time, I forget what it was called or where it was located, but it's worth looking into. Finally, there are helicopter tours to see water falls etc - simply breathtaking. Try and rent a time share condo with kitchen and you'll save a lot of dough on food.
