Anyone buy fairings from ebay....the abs 1s from china?

how did they look.....? I picked up a bike that needs parts so cheaper the better right now

Nothing special. I bought rashed oems for about 300. Sand paper for about 10, plastifix for 30, paint for 400. Total about 770 and the job is oem like...

They are probably low quality. I got a fiberglass set a while ago and it was just one thin sheet. At that price they have to cut corners.

Try squidskins, he is an awesome local guy.
 
I've heard about fitment problems with the Chinese stuff.
 
did they look ok? its just for this season.
 
I bought mine from bliss star on Ebay they fit with no problems at all and look good. The paint does chip easily and the colour isnt exactly the same as original (not enough pearl in the white). but cheap and a good fit.
 
I haven't tried them. Whether they looked ok or not may be a moot point if you can't install them on the bike (e.g. pieces don't align together, bolt holes don't line up, etc.)
I was actually looking into them myself, but after hearing such stories I changed my mind.

Shipping is $225 to Canada. With duty it should be around $585. You are already looking at close to $600. If you don't like them, to return them it will cost you at least $225. They won't refund you any of the shipping. Trust me, they are counting on you not returning them due to the price.
 
dude only go with Auctmarts1

they have the best reviews...on more recent models they guarantee perfect fit.

I can attest to this, as i bought some and didnt have to dremel a single hole.

the paint quality is surprisingly excellent
