Anybody had their rims re-laced?

Hey guys, I've got an old bike that I'm slowly working on, and I'm looking at getting the rims re-laced. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm wondering how much I can expect this to cost, and if anyone has a particular shop that they can recommend.(preferably, in the east end)
The bike is a '78 Suzuki GS1000 with aluminum rims.

A spoke kit is about $100 for each wheel (Buchanan spoke http://www.buchananspokes.net/ or Central Wheel http://www.central-wheel.co.uk/spokes/spokes.html).
Get them FIRST.
Then call Mark at 416 249 6259 (tell him I sent you) (Mark is at Lawrence and Black Creek)

Most of local vintage racers use Mark to build our wheels and a lot of shops sub-contract wheels to him.
Steve Darlington from VRRA may have a set of spoked alloy wheels for that bike. (www.vrra.ca/board)

Thanks bitzz. I'll check that out. I met Steve a couple of years ago when I bought a pair of side cover from him. He's certainly got some cool old bikes down there.

If you're in Newcastle, try Mike Geboers at Clarington Cycle in Hampton. I've seen Mike lacing Rims before.
