Any Sushi FIENDS?

My friends and I have been looking for the best all-you-can-eat sushi resetaurant. I know that it's a bit of a contradiction, but we're convinced that there's one out there. We try a different place every time we go out, and the best we've managed to find is Aji Sai (on Yonge Street).

- Yang's Kitchen probably has the biggest menu that we've ever seen.
- Maison du Japon, Sushi on 7, Kyoto House, and a couple of other places that I can't remember (but these weren't anything special).
- Wasabi used to be good before, but have gone downhill since they got new management.
- Masa sushi tends to be hit or miss for me.

Suggestions would be welcome! I can't get enough salmon sushi :D

TIA

raw meat, ewww

Umi Sushi - bad
Prince - not as good as it used to be, but decent. The teriyaki there is great (better than the sushi)
168 - Overall good, probably the best one in Mississauga
Woo's - can this even be classified as sushi ayce? lol
I have also been to one in Markham, I believe it is called Sushi on 7 (highway 7) which was quite good. They even had things like abalone and "sharkfin" sushi.

Have you tried Aji Sai on Bayview just north of Green Line? Yummy:)

It might be a bit of a trek for you, but there is one in Ajax.
"Sushi Mountain" Westney and Kingston Rd.
Haven't been there myself but a few friends have and they really enjoyed it.

Sushi actually refers to the vinegared rice and not the raw seafood. Sashimi is raw seafood.

I adore sushi! Unfortunately the only good "all you can eat" place I know of is in Cambridge. Sushi Ya in Milton is pretty tasty though.

Hockey Sushi in Brampton is meh. As is Tokyo Sushi Maki. Both are all-you-can-eat but the selection of authentic preparations and ingredients isn't there. I don't understand this Canadian concept of putting cream cheese in sushi. Yuck! Ironically, I had Memories of Japan's sushi today (they're located on Don Mills just north of Eglinton) and had to throw it out. The tuna was fishy and dark. If I end up sick, I'll know why.

The best sushi I've ever had was at Sun Sushi in St. John's, NL of all places.

wakame sushi on sheppard west of bathurst is not bad all you can eat

ariake is good in thornhill near promenade mall but is not all you can eat

Yummyacki in Waterloo is very very good... best I've had in the KW region by far.
Kind of a hole in the wall with retro-ish decor. The staff is all asian, and all have a very strong accent (i.e. fresh off the boat ;)).
Every time I've been there it's full of asians and very few other ethnicities - maybe it's just the time of day I've been going....

In Markham, the best places from AYCE Japanese is:
Hachitarou located on the north east corner of McCowan and Hwy 7
Sushi on 7, located just west of Kennedy on the north side of Hwy 7

In Mississauga, Prince sushi.

Tried a few hole in the wall places in Brampton and Georgetown, not for me and I wouldn't recommend any.

+1 for both of those. If you're looking in Markham there are a ton of good AYCE places...
Central Downtown, Aji Sai would be my pick.

Not sure about Mississauga, and I'll find out the name of the one in Pickering area for you if you need.

Aji Sai is great and price is fair too. If you want something that's a bit more but more variety, then try matsuda on steeles and middlefield. That's my go to AYCE sushi place. It's a bit pricey on the weekends but you get beef tataki and all them goodies. Very fresh and tastes amazing. If you want somethng that's inexpensive and not all you can eat then try Ni Ji on ellesmere and midland. That place has very fair prices (family boat for 50 bucks enough to fill up a family of 4) and food there is also very fresh.

Aji Sai and yangs are my two favourite... I would say Yang's Kitchen has the best sashimi always fresh.

I enjoy Spring Sushi on Upper James in Hamilton.

Fune on Duncan and king. Toronto. Best sushi and sashimi around but not all you can eat. Mmmmmm spicy Hottegai :p

Same owners of Yamato

milton has a branch of Aji Sai now, its quite good food but the service can be sketchy. Sushi Ya also milton is very good but not all you can swallow and pricey (get what you pay for)
August 8 in hamilton and now burlington are quite good.

There is now a sushi house in the old stoneboats restaraunt in Bronte, its very elegant and expensive imho.

I like Yang's, I've always really liked Tenichi in Scarborough on Sheppard. I really like the lunch bento boxes, the AYCE is good too

Sushi Kan in Ottawa is pretty good for an AYCE. Everything is made fresh and the price is excellent for what you get. They switched up the menu recently and there's a little less tuna on the menu but I guess that's not so bad as I'm not a big fan of mercury.
