Personally, I like the Formuler boxes (see my post #16 above). Take a look at the Z8 or Z8 pro. You can pick one up in the $140 to $150 range. Then you add a usb drive or hdd drive for storage.

Sorry...I work in IT and even I find all of this confusing...so many options...

I found a great IPTV provider called Dozenzxii....after trying about 5.....for this, along with all others, you need to install an IPTV player on your box, Tivimate is great. If you get a Buzz box, (which I have) which seem to be popular in these parts, thats OK and it comes with its own IPTV feed (BuzzTV) and player, but what I have now is better, you ignore the Buzz stuff and install Tivimate on it and get Dozenzxii as your feed. No IPTV feed will be 100%, there will still be infrequent server issues on one or more channels but they are usually temporary.
 
i dont have one but if you are OK with using the built in HDMI audio being played thru your TV speakers, the Amazon Firestick is a good option. Install Tivi and Doz as above. My box has a separate audio output jack which I have connected to a pair of amplified speakers, the Firestick does not have an audio output jack

I already have a FireStick.
I didn’t realize I could load IPTV / tuner software onto it.
