AMSOIL Oil + Filter

Does anyone from Brampton have a AMSOIL membership or know a local place not too far that sells AMSOIL bike oil + filters? (Canadian tire excluded)
I'm really starting to hate K&N filters with their insanely cheap bolts. Removing these always seem to cause problems with stripping. -_-

I saw a large Amsoil display at GP bikes.

I have a wholesale membership with Amsoil, but haven't figured out how to use it yet :( It doesn't work when I sign in to my account on their website, I guess I'll be forced to call them :(

Can't wait to try out their new EaO line of oil filters, buddie used one on his R6 and when we changed the oil the stuff coming out looked cleaner than what we were putting in! Used oil analysis said there was no reason to change it, this was after 5000km's! Amsoil said to just change the filter next time it's due, leave the oil in and when you come up to the second oil change interval, do a UOA :) Nuts!

That is sure crazy! Probably made to be changed after 10k or something. But yeah, GP Bikes is too far for me. :(

There is a guy around fisherman drive that sells amsoil stuff to the public at almost wholesale prices.......just call up dealers in that area....

Dude.. I have one, I'm gonna go buy a couple cases, I give you cheap brotherhood discount but there will be an additional 75% YOUWANNABECOP markup though. :lmao:

Bringing this thread way back :)

Just confirmed which filters fit on the R6 and R1 bikes.

For 2005 and earlier R6, 2007/2008 R1 (possibly a bunch of other years too), or any year R6S you can barely squeeze on a Ea15K13 "long" filter. For 2006+ R6 you'll need the short filter, and the longest one that just barely clears the shift rod is EaOM103 :)

Filter specs:

MSRP of EA15K13 is $17 and EAOM103 is $18.40

Woot woot for kick butt Amsoil products!

Just curious, where do you take oil for analysis and how much does it cost?
I have not done it myself, I can ask my taxi friend where he does it. He said it's $15 and it comes in a pre-paid kit, you just suck the oil out of the dipstick hole (with the engine running, immediately after coming back from a ride, trick is not to let it idle very long) with the turkey baster thing that comes in the kit, and squirt it into the container they give you, and drop it off at the post office (it's got a freight pre-paid label on it already). They send you an e-mail when the analysis is done, and he showed me where it can track all his cars, all the tests, see which ones have wearing bearings, etc.! Had "trending" charts, graphs, etc. Looked really amazing. Great for taxi company, not sure how useful for us ;)

I posted a little more info in the review section: http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforu...l-filter-money-can-buy!&p=1828986#post1828986

I'll find out who he uses/how he gets it and let you know.

He said he uses http://www.wearcheck.ca - he said it wasn't very easy to get signed up, and he kinda thought they won't just do "one" vehicle.

I looked on their website, couldn't find pricing or much info, I guess it's best to call them. Their office is in Mississauga.

I am in Scarb, where do i get mine from? Wholesale ofcourse....
You can pay $10 for a 6 month membership to Amsoil and drive down to Mississauga and get all your Amsoil products for wholesale. Not sure with my $10 membership I'm allowed to order stuff for ya. With the $10 membership local amsoil dealers will give you a close to wholesale price on the stuff you buy from them, so you could pay the $10 and try that dealer in Concord.

You're changing synthetics at 5k?

I wish I could filter them and re-use them
