I just came back from a 9,000km Road trip to Key West/Dragon/BRP/Washington DC and my gear was in bad shape. Weeks of bug juice, sweat, rain and stupidly hot sun had really taken a toll on my already well-used leather jacket and gloves. Not only did they look really worn, they smelled so bad that I didn't want to wear them anymore.
I heard about this place that specialized in leather cleaning and restoration for around $50 for a jacket and figured I'd give em a try.
I just went back to grab my stuff yesterday and was blown away. They cleaned, deodorized, moisturized, re-dyed, and re-protected the leather to the point where it looks like a new jacket again. It's practically like I went out and bought myself new gear for $50 instead of paying the >$500 it originally cost.
They're called Trillium TLC - The Leather Cleaner and are at 41 Advance Road in Etobicoke. The sign outside says "Love Your Rug" but that's the right place. You can reach them at (416) 538-8669 or on the web at www.loveyourleather.ca
No B.S. these guys are VERY VERY good at what they do and if you go direct to them instead of through your dry cleaner (many of whom send their leather to these guys anyway) you'll get a great rate.
