Reusable as long as the material and straps are not torn. you just replace the gas cartridges. As for what happens if u accidentallly yank it getting off the bike, I don't know for certain.

Worst case: we all have a good laugh at your expense.
Best case: the sensor is linked to speed as well and won't deploy under say 20kph.

call a dealer and ask. Or, i'll let you know when i get mine over the winter.

I got one last year. Happily never had it deploy. Pretty much like any other mesh jacket, except a little heavier because of the air canister. Tie off hanging down is a bit of a pain but just tuck it in your pocket when you're walking around.
Takes a bit to get it to go. I've gotten off the bike and forgot it was on. Take a step and it tugs you back. Its made to only deploy on a good tug. ie thrown from the bike, or friend grabbing it and pulling hard.
