Calling @bigpoppa as he's got one I believe...but it's auto IIRC.
yes

Im sure the manual works well too

My only concern would be the tubed wheels, have no idea how to patch a tubed tire(presumably its more work)

The DCT has a manual mode, which works really well. I just find its better to stick it in DCT sport mode for 95% of the roads in ontario.

does the bike seem heavy? Are you happy with the overall riding experience with the bike.

Buddy had the last gen and the current gen manual, it's a nice bike. The new engine is worth it over the previous gen imo, i'm not the biggest fan of the larger front wheel but he doesn't mind it and he carves corners on a zx10r 2nd bike.

Yes, I really like the bike.
Its not exactly the same as the bike in question because the dct changes the riding dynamic and the day to day riding a fair bit.

Its surprisingly well balanced, I rarely put my foot down at stop signs or lights.(this might change with a manual)

95% of the time when riding I am unaware of the bikes weight, but moving it around on the driveway, I know it is a tall and heavy bike.

The base model probably feels better for offroad, the lack of a DCT and smaller gas tank make it lighter.
