Advice: Selling Price

I will likely be selling my '10 Ninja 250 this fall and upgrading in the spring. I wanted your opinions on my asking price and if I am being too optimistic. (I was hoping for 4,000).

- I am original owner, purchased from Kahuna.
- Bike has 13,000km but will have around 16,000 by end of season when I am selling.
- No issues to date.
- Have proof of 1k, 5k, and 10k service from dealership.
- Running synthetic oil after 3 normal oil changes. I did oil changes myself (other than dealership services) but have receipts for the oil filters and oil purchased. (Running 10w-40 Amsoil)
- Upgraded exhaust to LeoVince (original will be sold with bike too)
- Double Bubble windscreen (original will be sold with bike too)
- Yoshimura fender eliminator.
- Will still be under warranty until June 2013.
- Properly winterized every year and kept indoors every night.
- Never dropped.
- No scratches, but small paint scuff on rear tail from a bag I had on the back. Can only notice in direct sunlight.
- Still running original tires, but I will have a brand new set on when selling.

Need more info?

Thanks!!

I considered it, but I am moving this winter and wanted to save the hassle of moving a winterized bike. Would the selling price vary that much from fall to spring for a ninja250?

Yes, there are more people looking to buy in the spring than people looking to buy in the fall.

It sounds like you have taken good care of this bike. You should be easy to get $4000 for it now. If you sell in the fall, I would list it for $3600 as is, and $3800 certified.

Thanks, maybe Ill keep it at my parents place during the move and sell in the spring.

with new tires, $4k no prob. Thats fair.

ive bought a few 250's for friends this year, prices ranged from 3300 for an older 08 with mods and 25k km, to 3600 for an 09 mint with low km and no mod.

August/september is still and OK time to sell. plenty of season left.

why not just list it for 4200$ and see what happens...you will most likely get someone who offers you 4000$. then your good.

Or post it up now, see if anyone bites, never know. someone may take it for 4000 as is without tires.
then you can upgrade early.
