Advice needed for motorcycle

I am a sport bike guy and don’t really know much about cruisers or other types of motorcycle in general. I want to add another motorcycle to my collection and I have been admiring Harley Davidson night rod custom. Would it cost 5-10k to make a custom night rod ? Also is there any Japanese bikes that looks somewhat like this (low & fat ) because I’m not sure how reliable Harley’s are since I have never owned one before (no offence to any Harley riders)

That HD has its own looks. Something in similar looks and feel, I think,

Yamaha bolt r spec (maybe a little skinny)
Ducati xdiavel
Yamaha vmax

nothing wrong with HD V Rod
pretty decent bike that unfortunately has been halted

Suzuki M109 R would be a Japanese alternative
of the two, I'd buy the V Rod

That bike in the vid is the VROD chassis. Judging from front inverted forks it's a '12 and up VRSCDX. Platform-wise it's very reliable, although you'll always find some issues being discussed on the forums. Off the top of my head I've seen postings about the radiator fans failing and ABS module issues. I've had my bike going on 5 seasons and no issues whatsoever, love it.

Killercustoms.com has some really nice body kits, as does darkcustom.com and Fredy is THE man for design. You'll have to add the base price of a VRSCDX to the kit prices and they still command a decent price. There are some design and mechanical changes to the '12 and up so that would be my preference.

I've mentioned in the past the comparisons to M109R as one of my mates has one. Tough decision, both excellent bikes, both get a ton of attention wherever we go.
I think the links you want are: Motorcycle shop - DARK KUSTOM Custombikes and Killer Custom Harley Davidson Parts
