Hey all, I'm coming up from Buffalo and my girlfriend is going to be my co pilot for the trip. I am doing race school on Friday. She is all bummed about not having much to do while I am in school. What is near GBM that she can do/at the track. She just bought a road bike so maybe she will go for a spin, anyone else in this situation? Beach is kind of close.. right?
I told her to go make friends.

Beach is 3 k from the track. She can rent a jet ski, go for a nice bike ride.. Lots of little shops on the main strip by the beach.

Use the drag strip!

Lots of tattoo parlours. She could get your name written on her ass!

Send her to the beach..... with or without you, is at your own decision/risk. lol jk

She can easily make new friends at the track with rider and non-rider women, everyone at SOAR is pretty approachable.

Grand Bend offers something that not many other tracks do. Very nearby off-track entertainment.

Just send her in to town with a bathing suit and a towel and your credit cards. She'll be fine.

Thanks for the replies, I'll make her an itinerary! GBM is starting to sound better and better with everything so close!

Like the guys/girls said lots of shops, restaurants on the main drag (its about 4 blocks long and ends at the beach) 2 miles from the track. There is also a great town about 20 minutes North on HWY 21 called Bayfield - lots of neat shops, restaurants, etc - nice ride along the lake. On sunday morning about 5 minutes south of Grand Bend on hwy 21 is the Pinery Flea market - tons of vendors, etc. busy place on sunday mornings. If she likes art -At the main lights in Grand bend turn left go across the bridge and turn right just after the bridge - go down past the Grand Bend Yacht club and there is great local fish and chips place Purdy's (their own catch) and beside them are a couple of local art galleries. featuring local artists etc. ( also the beach at the end of this street is also great - not crowded you can walk out a 100 feet as it is all soft sand and shallow) Fri &/or Sat night call a cab and go into town to Gables or Coco's the local hot spots.
