ace moto tech, bridgestone, csbk.

Wow. Did not see that coming. Ace (Adrian) has a great reputation but where the heck is he going to find the time? LOL

Guess we know which weekends his shop will be closed. Plus the days before and after to get to the Jennings and AMS rounds.

I tried booking him to get work done on my track bike over the Winter. Called in November/December and was told he'd call me back to arrange a date to drop it off.....crickets.
Tried to book in a street bike to get work done the Winter before that and same thing.....crickets.
And it's not like I would be a new customer, I've been to him a few times over the years going back to when he was working out of his house. He did tell me a couple of years ago when I saw him at Calabogie that he wanted to get out of the Service part of bikes and focus mainly on just tires and oil changes, so I guess that's what he's done.
Good for him, but how about let people know when they call for a Service appointment instead of leaving them hanging?

just tires and oil changes,
This surprises me. That has to be a crap load of tires and oil to change in order to stay afloat and make living just off of those two low cost services.
Unless now there is a decent amount of $$$ coming from Bridgestone.

Strictly my $0.02 -
I think Bridgestone Canada paid a boatload of money to become the prime sponsor and tire supplier for CSBK.
Then they needed somebody to administer the program and started looking around.
Pro 6 and Dunlop were doing a good job, but likely couldn't/wouldn't match what was being brought to the table.
Adrian will probably supply the bodies, Bridgestone will provide the truck and trailer, inventory and necessary equipment.
I have nothing to back this up, just a hunch.

Pro6 didn't have any idea about the switch from Dunlop to Bridgestone until it was announced. They were 100% in the dark and it was a rude slap in the face for them, especially after working so hard to help CSBK even have a series during COVID.
But yes, Bridgestone doesn't care about the cost because CSBK is their test to show they can supply and support a National series and will use this to try and get the National series in the US.

They have the money and resources - this doesn't have to be a money making or break even proposition for them.
They sell a lot of car tires, this deal likely comes out of their marketing budget.
