Unfortunately, this is my second time i encounter a car accident on my way to, or from work on a Saturday morning.
Last time I got down to help the poor driver got his iPhone stolen from a passerby "Wanting to help dial 911" which is not only harsh, it is NOT human from my point of view. I can't believe people actually take advantage on such a tragic situation and steal an iPhone when the life of both driver could be in danger.
But anyways, this morning on my way to work, at Lawrence Ave East and Don Mills Rd. I encounter a fellow biker laying on the road, his 2008 Harley Davidson wrapped around a light pole, gas or oil everywhere and a few witnesses roaming around. Of course, i stepped down to help and reassure I could do as much as I can to help him. I turned off the ignition of the bike. He is in his mid 50's and thankfully he is fine. Only a scratch on his right elbow, a sore back and a bruise on his ribs.
What happened? there was some kind of oil or slippery liquid on the road. As he was turning Eastbound on Lawrence, his motorcycle slipped and went straight to the pole. He said he wasn't going fast. And thankfully he is fine. Which brings me to my next point: BE CAREFUL!!! pay attention to the road conditions all the time. always be prepared for the worse.
If you are a passerby, please try and help out and make sure the person's belongings are not stolen.
and if you are the guy i helped, i hope you are doing ok
