Hey guys,

Just thought I should share this info for people looking for a new set of tires. For those of you who are not in a huge hurry to get tires delivered to you, Parts411.com is offering free ground shipping which takes approximately 10-15 days.

I just placed an order for a set of Metzeler Sportec M5 Interact tires with sizes 120/70 and 190/55, for $292 USD which in turn ended up being $286 CDN for the set. Can't go wrong! Even with duties (and I'm hoping I dont end up getting dinged), it's still a heck of a deal! I shopped around everywhere locally and couldn't find a better deal. The best local deals I found in Toronto ranged from $320-340 CDN for a set, before taxes.

Can't wait to get the new rubber on the road. I did some research and from what I can tell, they're excellent tires for conditions like what we face in Toronto - rain and cold days/nights.

Let the elephant hunting beginnn!

Can't even find those on their website :(

Try Motorcycle Superstore. Ship to CBI in Niagara Falls. Usually there in 3 days.

Aww man, if I knew about CBI earlier I wouldn't have tried so hard to look for tires. lol. There seems to be other websites out there that offered free shipping within the lower 48 states which would have been perfect!

When you go to pick up your items, do you have to cross into the US or is there a location north of the border we can stop by and grab the stuff?

US side a couple of blocks from the border. Check out their web site. Great alternative. Duty only on return.

I had Metzeler Sportecs on my bike (not sure if they were the M5's) but I swapped them out before they even wore out...didn't like them...seemed squirmy for me. My Michelin 2CTs seem a lot better. However, this really could be bike/suspension specific.

or pete's. 320 delivered for me.

is that 282 plus shipping and possible duty? sounds about the same, i had mine delivered in 48 hrs

pete all the way!

Nope, 282 includes shipping. I'm still waiting to find out what Duty will cost me (If they ding me for it). I'll let you guys know more when I get the tires.

The M5's are reletively new. Not sure which one's you've had in the past but I ran a pair of M3's on a previous bike of mine and they were good! I mostly use Pirelli's but this time I thought I'd give something else a shot.. :)
