Every year we stay at a house near the Cherohala for a week (my 11th year with this group) and ride all day, then make nuisances of ourselves until the buzz wears off. This year I met up with some Aprilia owners and also BrianP and friends from Ontario.
Some pics from this year:
Gas station is closed at the end of Wayah this year.
Two-strokes were everywhere.
Most, but not all, of our crew. 13 people in the house this year.
Fiddy races. Two of our members raced (Vaughn Ivey and Anthony Cappadonna).
Two of us came all the way from California, bringing three kegs of beer, a RSV and a RFV 400 (NC-35) converted back to street use.
Firing AR-15. We had two 9mm pistols, a .45 pistol and a .38 revolver as well. I'm a better shot with the .45, apparently, than the AR-15.
This is what a 6'7" Norgie looks like on a fiddy. He flew from South Africa this year to the event.
28 highway. I got pretty stupid riding with a guy on a Panigale on 28, turned out to be a local cop who proceeded to warn me of where patrols were.
We had fiddy races at the house, too. A fair amount of blood was shed, as you'd expect. I stacked hard, myself.
I mentioned kegs. Did i mention kegs?
Ah yes, the RSV4 in action.
Love the new pipe and the matching (sort of?!) helmet.
If I haven't mentioned them, we had kegs.
M04R RSV4.
Fiddy races.
Breakfast at Huddle House. Dedicated bike parking with a shade/roof.
Some of our bikes. The red GSXR is the bike I owned for three years and sold to my friend Jay.
