Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there's a way to tighten the clutch cable on my Ninja 500r so that it'll grab sooner? Right now, it starts to grab when i'm almost done releasing the clutch, which feels a bit too far for me. I wanted it to be about half way through from when I start releasing the clutch.

Thanks

Check for slack in your clutch cable. Take out as much slack in your cable as possible. There are two adjusters, one on either end of the clutch cable.

If there is very little slack in the cable and the clutch still doesn't respond the way you like, the cheapest solution would be to get some adjustable levers. The more expensive solution (which may be neccessary depending on your milage) is to replace your friction discs and springs. ~$70 bucks for the first option ~$150 for the second... assuming you do all your own work.

Get a manual.
