Up for sale:
93 ZX-7R "sanford" - built and raced formerly by Jim Proulx #171 for the better part of a decade
Every modification you could want for an all out race bike built by a long time pro. - No major modifications since his build/ownership.
a couple highlights of the mods:
Brembo brakes, iron rotors on two sets of rims.
Ohlins shock, re valved forks.
Total loss system: no alternator or starter to weigh you down or steal HP.
Flat slide carbs with all the bells and whistles
CF airbox
Ti bolts
lots of cross drilling and weight savings
Enough spare parts to practically build a second bike... too many to list.
Last raced and run in '09 when it won the lost era heavyweight class of the SOAR race series. Spring 2010 the motor was rebuilt by Jim Proulx, and has not been started since, due to family priorities and budget.
Before the rebuild it had enough power to throttle wheelie 3rd gear while compression was down. This bike is very fast for it's nameplate. Also, you will feel like you're dating a rockstar at a race weekend. Every weekend I raced, someone new seemed to know this bike from it's past in a good way.
For sale due to knee injury preventing me from bump starting, and upcoming growth of my family. I love this bike and hate to see it go, but I don't see the time to be able to ride it in the near future.
was $4500 OBO .... now Make an offer.
Additional pictures and video available upon request.
email me at: xy@gmail.com where x is nickname of the bike, and y is my race number in the picture.
Thanks,
Jeff
