I fell in love all over again.
This wknd, while racing with SOAR in Grand Bend, I happened upon a spectator who rode up to watch the races. His bike was an all original 89 CBR600, in pretty good unrestored condition. Like this:

I couldn't help myself. I had to approach him and ask that should he ever decide to sell and upgrade, please consider selling it to me.

LOL. I'm not a bike nazi ... anyone that has an older looking/age sport bike is in But old racing gear would make this a bigger win!

Just thought it would be cool for some of us to get together and theme ride! It's always usually a pack of R6s on the roads.

Not looking for some aggressive riding or anything. Just ride chill, hang out, and pose

I miss my 89 fzr400.... After my bike, all my buddies got the Fzr600 for their first bike. So I know like 3 guys with fzr600s.
I'll come for the meet up to check out all the sexy bikes.

I'm trying to find replacement parts for the FZR400. Pretty hard. The plastics are impossible. I'm trying to find a passenger seat cover that will give it a solo seat look.

Are you restoring it?

I'm trying to build up a collection of FZR400 spare parts. Also restoring it since my Fizzer is a beat up race bike with a lot of rust and peeling paint.

not a full restore, its in good shape, just had the 2nd gear problem. so getting all the seals and some bearings done while there in there.

I want to find a trusty mechanic for my FZR too.

my 91, just replaced engine with a 9600 mile unit, feels so nice and tight to shift

and the donor bike, that will be turned to a track bike, or a very very cheap restore, mechanically sound, just won't be pretty....
