So during my talks with Statefarm - they quoted me a yearly fee of $875 or so for my 250r Ninja.

Now I asked if I could only have insurance for 6 months of the year to save some $$$ but the rep replied that it wouldn't be cheaper because of cancellation fees etc.

So my questions:

1. For those of you with Statefarm, what do you do - full year or 6 months and what do you find is cheaper (after cancellation fees etc.)
2. Does constantly starting/cancelling insurance every 6 months have any effect on your long-term insurance rates?

Thanks!

I pay full year insurance. From what I know, you NEVER want to have a gap in insurance on any vehicle, it will hurt your insurability in the future. so NEVER cancel insurance if you're still in posession of the vehicle.
