Was quite surprised Metal Supermarket (Stoney Creek) didn't have any chromo tube/plate or 5/16 alum. flatstock on hand. Too oddball, apparently. Does anybody have first hand experience with specialty metal supplier in GTA? Real world, not google. TIA.

Have your tired Mississauga steel mart?

Have not. Do they usually have what you need?

Largest stock of steel I have ever seen, makes metal supermaket look like a popsicle stand......They have a huge automated shelving system there, they have so much metal in stock....Kinda like what you see at home depot in the wire section where they type in a code and it brings that product to them

I know I have walked into Metal Supermarket at Meyerside and Dixie and got 4130 tube.

Thanks, I'll put that on the leads list.

Ya, the boutiquiness of Metal Supermarket made me think it was "specialty". They had nothing over my usual source, B+D Steel. Am not seeing 4130 on Mississauga Steel Mart web page. Will call tho.

Yeah call if they dont have it at that location they usually order it from their supplier and have it the next day, but the place is huge...And its very close to the Mississauga location of Metal supermarkets. If you head that way its worth checking out. My machinist gets most of his metal from them

FYI. Big selection of 4130 tube (also ACF-50) at Aircraft Spruce, Branford Airport. And while it's being cut you can chat vintage racing with the nice lady. Her husband, "Frenchy" races '89 Gixxer.
