39 yr old on Bandit 600 S - my premium is.....

Brant Bandit

$600, with 1m TPL, $1000 Collision / $1,000 Comp with TD

Haven't ridden in 18 years. Full GM license since 16, but no bike insurance for 18 years. 1 Ticket.

Considering I'm getting 50 MPG the gas savings will pay for the insurance over the course of the season. I'm so happy to get back into riding.

I was worried that it would be really expensive, but I'm old and picked a reasonable bike.

Lol, yup. Dominion actually had my bike on their restricted list and wouldn't quote. I also quoted an fz1 and it jumped to $1500......

Don't bother with collision. If you make a claim, they will hike your premiums for the next 6 years to pay for it.

Considering the short time you can ride a bike in Ontario, $600 is expensive for liability. Think about it, you can drive a car in all kinds of bad weather, snow, ice. 12 months.

Well, collision is $32 on my bike, and I have the accident forgiveness endorsement. Comp is also like $30. I figure it this way....$60 will get me a few grand in the event of a write off, and I can use that as a down payment n a new bike. The cost-benefit is there for me.
