3 weeks left!

Alright everybody, its time to get down and dirty and get our fundraising done! There is only 3 weeks until Ride for Sight and we only 5 members who have raised enough $$ to get in. I know we tend to be 11th hour fundraisers, but this is the 35th anniversary and we need to take 1st place again in the online challenge! If you've never gone to Ride for Sight before, this is the year to do it! Team GTAM always has a great time. We rope off a big spot for all of us to camp together and there are always some sort of hijinx and shenanigans going on. Camp fires at night, a few wobbly pops, bike games, show and shine, demo rides, bike parade (Saturday), vendor market, and Big Sugar will be playing Saturday night! Before Big Sugar takes the stage Saturday, Ride for Sight will be announcing the winner of the 2013 Sportster Iron! The more you fundraise, the more chances you have to win! I know a Sportster wouldn't interest a lot of riders on here, but its worth $10k, so if you win it, sell it! That'll make a hell of a down payment on whatever bike you do want! And all you have to do to enjoy all of this is register online and fundraise a minimum of $75! It costs almost that much to camp in a provincial park for the weekend, never mind all of the entertainment you get with that! If you have joined us in the past, this is definitely the year to come back! Let's take that first place plaque again this year and do it up right!

I did it! I reached my goal! I raised $1000 again this year! Here's hoping everyone else can meet their fundraising goals! Cheers.

You can go to the website http://www.rideforsight.com/ All the information is there, just go to the central Ontario page. You can also do a search on this website by searching "Ride for Sight". I'm sure all kinds of past posts about the fun we've had will pop up for you to read. Also, contact Cutekill on this site. She is our fearless leader and can answer any and all questions you have! Cheers.

i looked around a bit and could not find anything, is there a google maps route of the exact route the parade will be taking?

Not yet, but it looks like it's gonna be up the east side of lake simcoe through Beaverton. Details are still being workef out....
Cheers 8)

Ride for Sight does not post the route details as the parade is a marshaled ride, guided by OPP all the way from the Silver City Cinemas at Hwy 400 and Hwy7 to Tudhope Park in Orillia. If they were to publish the parade route, there would be other riders and small groups trying to merge in with the parade half way through and that would be dangerous. The best way to join the ride is to arrive before 10am on the Saturday, register, make sure your tank is full and your bladder empty and enjoy the ride from start to finish!
