3 day suspension, no conviction, will it affect insurance?

Say your drivers abstract shows the suspension and reinstatement but no conviction or anything else of the sort when insurance pulls you up for the first time, will it lead to increased premiums? I'm asking this because it happened to someone I know and he's looking to push back the trial date and get in on insurance before the conviction potentially goes through...

another quick question, will the abstract specifically show what the suspension was for?

Isn't it $10 to have the MTO print out your abstract from the past 3 years to present? Tell your friend to get it printed out, to find out exactly what the insurance company will be looking at.

Apparently Insurance companies have 90 days from when the policy begins to make changes which includes cancellation or increased premiums. During this time, I am sure they will probably check your friends records. I guess you never know... You can try...

Administrative suspensions won't be used to compute your premium.

Administrative suspensions of less than one year in duration will not be used to compute premium.

However, the presence of one on your record shows that you did do something significant enough to warrant suspension, and that in turn may give an insurance company a good reason to go back and check your driving record more often in future, and that's where they will eventually learn of a delayed conviction.

But they will try to if you do not say anything, Primum tried that crap on me saying my premiums would be higher for 3 years as i have a 7 day admin suspension for stunt driving charge that was nulified by the court, so after me complaining and threatening to take this to an ombudsman, i go my insurance rate i was quoted.
