I am 23 with a G License, have been driving for 9 years clean record.Live in London Ontario. Common Law. I would like to get insurance for a Yamaha R6 or similar bike and also a quote for a Hyosung GT250R. I will have my M2 with Motorcycle training course in March. Would I be able to get insurance for around $100-$150 a month? Statefarm or any good insurance company quotes would help thanks alot

I had the same stats as you last season minus common law. I was getting quotes for $1800 annually for a GS500 eventually found one company that did $1100. 600cc supersport was around $3500 from statefarm

Your question could be answered with 100% certainly with a simple phone call to your local State Farm agency. They can quote you with a hypothetical scenario.

Agreed, followed your advice, it is a lot quicker and more accurate.
Too bad first year of riding for me would cost me approx $3500 a year T.T (Under the age of 21)

That's a lot of money . . . what kind of bike were you quoting with? The beginner bikes shouldn't be that bad to insure, and you might be better off with Jevco.

My insurance was $1600 for my motorcycle with comprehensive coverage back when I was 20 years old. I have my Car and condo insured with them as well.

At your age, your best bet is to get anything bbut a supersport and insure with Jevco after 1 year of having a M2. They offer great rate for non supersport. I was with state farm from back then to now. I only receive that rate for a supersport because I had my car with them. Unless you insure your car with them, I doubt statefarm would take you or give you a good rate.

OP . . . it seems like you are new to riding . . . this is a must read:

The R6 is by no means a suitable beginner bike, but the GT250R is. Carriers' suggestion to get a non-SS bike and insure with Jevco is the best advice for you from both a financial and safety perspective. Consider some of these excellent beginner bikes as well:

Kawasaki Ninja 250
Kawasaki Ninja 500
Suzuki GS500F

Well I have 1 minor conviction and 1 claim both for a car. I was told that after a year(of experience) they would move me to another insurance company and quoted me for around 1500-1700

This is for a cbr 125 or a ninja 250

How did you start driving when you were 14?

Also state farm wont give you a good rate till your 25 and you bring your car to them as well.
I pay $71/month for a CBR F4i with full collision but my car is with them also

Where were you able to get $1,100?
I paid $1,800 for this season.
I have the exact same stats as you, except I live in Peel Region.
