KEMPTVILLE - For the second time in five days, a motorcyclist has died in the area as a result of a vehicle collision.
Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police say an unidentified man was killed Friday afternoon when his motorcycle crashed into a Chevrolet Malibu on County Road 22 near the junction with Kennedy Road.
“The driver of the motorcycle is deceased. The driver of the car was not injured,” said Const. Cathy Lindsey, noting the collision occurred just before 2 p.m.
By late afternoon, the investigation was continuing and there were several roads in the area closed until further notice.
That included County Road 43 to County Road 22, Kennedy Road to Townline Road and Bennett Road.
Const. Lindsey said alternate routes were easy to access and it was important to keep the accident scene safe for investigators.
Police were asking people with information to call the Kemptville detachment at 613-258-3441.
