OPP HAVE RELEASED THE IDENTITY OF THE MAN KILLED IN YESTERDAY'S ACCIDENT


A 64 year old Madawaska Valley Township man is dead following an accident yesterday (Tuesday) in Laurentian Valley. According to police, Gysbertus Reym died on scene after his motorcycle struck another vehicle on Greenwood Road near Beachburg Road. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police have released no details on how the collision may have occurred. We do know Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assissting the OPP but there are no details on whether or not charges will be laid.
