Anyone know if the Honda Grom 125cc is coming to Canada? Says it'll be on sale in the US this summer, looks like fun!

Looks like a cool little bike. I like it's style it's like the mini version on my CB1000r

I already posted a topic on the bike, and yes its coming to canada

Could you link the discussion? Whats the MSRP in Canada and any word on release date? I'd love to get this little bike.

It's like 3 grand in the US lol, so probably even more in Canada

fun but a waste of $

3299 msrp here in ontario. Super city bike alternative to scooters or super motos, wicked cheap to insure as its a 125cc. Ideal second bike for local travel IMO. Bravo honda, what took so long?!

I like it but i don't see it selling well. I expect it to be available for even lower later

Honda does not - so far - appear to be repeating the mistake they made with the cbr125: bring in a few that sold at MSRP with a waiting list due to pent-up demand (so far, so good), but then bring in an enormous number of them that floods the market and that takes two years to work through while selling well below MSRP (bad) and in the process, deflates what the market will pay for something like this in the long term (really bad), and ticks off the early-adopter owners by destroying their resale value (really bad).

The Grom appears to have very limited availability. It is a simpler machine than a cbr125 - particularly the second-generation cbr125 - and so, ought to be less expensive for them to make. If they keep the number available down, only the people that really want one will get one, but they'll have to pay for them.

In Thailand(SEA) these little bikes are very popular(Kawi makes them too), people here are using them for commuting around town, etc, but I can't see them being very popular in Canada. Pretty expensive for what you get, not very practical(can't beat a scooter for the same money), you need a bike licence for them(not for scooters).
They look like a lot of fun, but expensive fun. IMO if Honda priced it around 2-2.5K then it would maybe make more sense.

The only difference between a 50cc scooter and bike licence is the highway test portion. My Yamaha C3 or my Kymco Super 9 LC are fun but this would be a blast to ride. Same insurance. I agree on the pricing.

They seem like a lot of fun in the flesh. But for $3300, it's steep....

Its like a go-kart version of a bike.
