About 1-1:30 AM? I drove past this. It was right next to road construction. There was a lot of construction all over yesterday. Saw a police SUV go past on the shoulder with lights on and cynical me thought it was just another cop using their lights to get past traffic.
Approached and in the distance you could see multiple flashing lights. EMT was there as were multiple police SUVs as well as a whole road crew with heavy equipment. Must have been called in instantly since it happened right next to lane work on the other side.
Riders were already loaded into the EMT vehicle still on site. Bike was a cruiser bagger style which was on its left side in the passing lane. Front tire resting against the concrete meridian.
I don't have any details but I'm thinking based on the time exhaustion and/or alcohol may have been a factor. Choice of lane could have been problematic too. Road crew lights were blindingly bright. Maybe it was the wrong lane to be in with drunk Toronto drivers.
GWS.
