From citynews

A female has been airlifted to a trauma centre after a motorcycle collision in Caledon.

Emergency crews were called to the single-vehicle crash on Old Church Road and Highway 50 Saturday night.

The female suffered life-threatening injuries.

There has been no word on the victim’s age.

Old Church Road has been closed while police investigate.

I had a tow truck driver bringing me and my bike home from Orangeville on Saturday night, he was at the scene on Old Church road in Caledon earlier that day.

He told me that he could barely look at the rider and had to leave as soon as emergency crews showed up. He said it was too gruesome and the rider hardly had a pulse.

GWS

Edit; I'm not entirely sure but IIRC he did not mention any other bikes or injuries.

Sad story. The riders (husband was with her at the time) are friends of a good friend of mine. From what I've been told she's not doing very well :(

My thoughts go out to the rider, her family and friends. Just over a year ago my brother was hit on his motorcycle by a guy making a left hand turn. He is still in bad shape today, but alive thanks to the excelent treatment he recieved by the air amulance, the emergancy room staff and doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook in Toronto. He has many daily challanges and will have probably for the rest of his life but he is still here with us today. I hope that the rider and her family and friends stays strong and she gets better without many complications. It may be a long hard fight back, but a life worth living...
