hey I have a DRZ SM and I am going to be needing a rear tire at some point. I was wondering if anybody has crammed a 160 into theirs? I have one in my garage that I took off another bike and if I can use it I would like to rather than buying another tire.

Going up to 150 is pretty common and fits the rim decently. Wouldn't recommend trying a 160. Even if it fits, it'll be mushroomed.

So I was in need of a rear tire, this led me to do some research. Turns out a 160/60/17 fits in the back end of a DRZ. Upon finding this out I had the tire I had in my garage fitted up to my wheel. No mushrooming and tonnes of room. here is a video that I found on youtube that lets you see what it looks like (not my video found it about a week ago)

It will depend greatly on make/model of tire. Not all 160s are the same size. Even if it says 160/60 there are size variances between brands.

Good to know that yours fits ok. Check the sidewall as you go though. I had chain slap on the sidewall even running a 150 bridgestone.
