2010 GSXR 600 coupler has no home!

Just did valve clearances/shim replacement, had the whole bike apart and it's now almost in one piece again EXCEPT:

For the life of me I can't seem to find where this one coupler goes!

It's a two-pronged plug, seems to have orange/white and brown wires -- service manual says it's the EVAP Purge Control Solenoid Valve Adviser Comptroller Decider Regulator Modifier Thingamajig coupler, and that's cool and all, except there seems to be no place this thing connects to.

It only seems to reach from the wiring harness to about the EVAP system purge control valve, which makes TOTAL SENSE, except that EVAP system purge control valve already has wires that I did not disconnect coming from the bottom of it, and they're not seperable via a coupler (so I haven't plugged something else into it or anything like that)

Anyone know if it's supposed to be plugged in, in the first place? I don't remember disconnecting it, though it was over a week ago when it was. Everything else is in place just fine. Pri/Sec injector couplers, etc etc, except this one coupler!

Ah forget it. I left it unplugged and fired up the motor - no FI light, no codes thrown, it should be all good.

Everything suggested it was superfluous, especially the lack of somewhere physical to put it into, heh! Plus I asked around on a couple of GSXR forums and one guy did suggest it was superfluous since he had a similar setup.

Lame that ALL of the Suzuki bike dealerships in the GTA that I contacted about this still haven't gotten back to me about it. That's disappointing. I've since ridden around the miserable GTA as-is, and my bike feels flawless, so I'm considering the issue dead.

I can't help you, but in the future, take a pic with your phone before you tear things apart. That way you'll see how everything was originally

Likely for a California spec'd bike and you would not have the emission components required on a Canadian model.

One of my CBR's is the same way and has a few extra vacuum lines that lead nowhere at either end. Apparently they use the same vacuum line assembly for both emission spec'd setups

^^ Yup.

California GSXR's have an EVAP system installed as well. For cost saving all GSXR harnesses have the evap plug installed.

Not to worry. I got same plug, totally superfluous.
