Hey all, I'm new to the world of riding, as well as these forums.
I bought an '09 V Star 650 Custom with 500 original miles on it, about 2 months ago. It's pretty much been sitting up until three days ago (had to play the waiting game for my motorcycle training course).
The other day I went to start it to go for a ride, and when I turn the key, I can hear what I presume to be the fuel pump clicking somewhat loudly for a few seconds and then it shuts off. I took the bike out for about a 30 mile ride and had no issues at all, but I don't seem to remember this issue when I bought the bike a couple of months back. It could very well have been that with the excitement of a new bike, I simply didn't notice it, but I figured I would check with everyone on here just to be sure. Hopefully it's completely normal and I can then apologize for wasting everyone's time.
