Up for sale is my very well modified FZ1. I am the second owner of this bike - it was an employee long-term demo bike at Kahuna Powersports for 10,000 kms before me.
I'm 6'3", with a 36" inseam. This bike was built for a tall rider who can't jam themselves onto a sport bike, but who isn't ready for a Goldwing.
If you're looking for an R1 - this ain't it. If you're looking for an ST1300, this isn't it. If you're looking for a brilliant all-around motorcycle that puts the sport in sport-touring, this is it. I've ridden this bike from Toronto to Utah and back. I've ridden it to the Cabot Trail. It's been through the Tail of the Dragon. I've commuted on it, and I've spent lots of time bombing around backroads on the weekends. The mileage reflects this, but also reflects how much I've enjoyed this bike.
Want to hang with your sport-bike hooligan friends? No problem. Want to slap some givi side cases on and go for a couple of weeks? Done. Want a comfortable, quick ride that isn't going to cripple you at the end of the day? Hello, sailor.
All the maintenance has been done religiously, including the valves. A full service record is available. I have dyno records from Wheeler's at Deal's Gap that show 149 hp at the rear wheel. This bike is much quicker than stock.
List of upgrades is very long
Real Pazzo Levers (not eBay knockoffs)
Hyperpro Steering Damper
Power Commander 3 USB
Power Commander Ignition Module
Scorpion slip-on
Ivan's subthrottle butterflies
Ivan's FCE (fuel cut eliminator)

Clear Alternatives integrated tail-light kit

Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires
SW-Motech removable luggage rack for Givi sidecases

MRA Vario windshield (so practical)
Copperdawg windscreen (so sexy)

Aftermarket handlebars and bar end weights (I think they're Manic Salamanders)
Watsen's LED front turn signals
RAM handlebar ball mount
Plug for mini power inverter (mini-inverter (included) sits inside of a tankbag for power - charging phones / ipod etc.
Pics can be found here: http://opetralis.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/For-Sale/FZ1-for-Sale/25274532_8jGL8x You can see the bike in "touring mode" as well as in "sport mode". Going from one to the other takes no time at all.
All original parts will be included, along with a digital copy of the service manual.
Bike has never been down at speed, but has gone over at a stop. There are scuffs on the bar ends and the brake pedal is a little bent.
Lowballers will be ignored. I'm willing to discuss price with serious buyers.
