Hey guys,
I was riding my bike today n on a round about i wasnt looking ( dont know where my head was) and was leaning and realized im too fast n hit the curve. The only problem i have is the front tire is wobbling. Its barely noticable under 50 but is going crazy over 60. Now someone looked at itand said the rim is bent even though i donot see it bent from anywhere. Is it possible to get that fixed somehow? If not do you guys know where can i get a cheap rim.
Thanks for al your help in advance.
Make sure u all wear your gear doesnt matter how hot it gets. My elbow knee and ankle is pretty mesed up.
ride safe guys
regards
moosa

Do you have a front stand that you can lift the front end with?

Easiest way to check is to lift the front and then spin the front wheel by hand and visually check for runout on the front wheel. If it is bad enough for you to feel it will be obvious when you watch it turn. Another possibility is that the tire has been damaged. If you spin the wheel and it still looks fine I would think that the tire has been damaged and that's what is causing the wobble.

Kawi forums or ebay is likely your best bet for a cheap rim, not many places will fix a bent rim and it's usually cheaper just to buy a used one online. I'll warn you though that those ZX6R front wheels are hard to come by.

sounds like a bent rim. need to inspect.

Front rims are like GOLD for that bike. If you want find one let me know - I'll buy 2x of them.

I have 2 sets, one 2011 and a 2013 set that has never been used....Make me an offer, but make it a good one...LOL Like you said they are just like gold...I really only need one set, so if the price is right Id let the other go

OKay . lifted the bike from the front and its i can clearly see the tire wobble, i bought another rim its orange color. Got it for $250. is that a good deal? and would you guys know a good place where i can buy paint to match my back rim color. it is maroon color (the special edition rims). Thanks for all your help guys.

GET Johnny to powder coat both wheels for you.

Paint will just chip away over time -

Thats high but going rate for them as they are in high demand, but it better be 100% straight for that price. It being orange is a deal breaker for me, if I was spending anything near $200 Id want a pretty much mint OEM wheel, not repainted...The paint could be hiding a repair, it could be a dented wheel that was fixed
and repainted...

If I sold one of my spares Id ask $250 also but you would get an OEM front rim that has never been dented or repainted with the original tire still on it.

google rim king, they straighen rims for 250$ if you can't find one, they do cars and bikes rims.
