For sale is my 2006 Suzuki K6 DL650 V-Strom. Asking $5500. Needs nothing to certify. Bike has never been down.
I hate to part with this bike, I really do. It's been an amazing ride for 36XXX kms, and has never once let me down. I've ridden her up the James Bay Road where she got stuck in the Arctic Ocean at low tide - which, technically, is Nunavut (funny story that ended well). She's been down every inch of Shendandoah National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Cherahala Skyway, she ran Deal's Gap (Tail of the Dragon) and back and forth from Toronto to Chicago several times. I was planning on riding her up the Dempster Highway.
She's fully decked out:
OEM Centrestand
GIVI top case mount
GIVI pannier / saddlebag mounts
Auxiliary fusebox
Heated grips (Yamaha OEM)
Weatherproof Powerlet electrical outlet mounted into the fairing
Engine guards
Skid plate
16T front sprocket installed last year
New chain and rear sprocket installed last year
Metzeler Roadtec Z6 sport-touring tires - rear is new as of mid last season, front still has lots of wear left
Set of new brake pads (full set of front and rear) still in packaging included (there's lots of wear on the pads that are on the bike)
Suzuki of Europe Euro Sport windscreen (not available in North America)
Windstrom Manta Tall windscreen
OEM handguards
Tool tube mounted (I use it to hold a can of chain lube)
Pictured is the Sargent seat, which WILL BE SOLD SEPARATELY. The stock seat will be included with the motorcycle. (Sargent seat has been sold)
I've removed the factory decals, because I just didn't like the look of them. Full maintenance record is available, maintenance was done to factory schedule.
If you've done any research on this bike, you'll know how amazing this bike is. I don't think there's any better all-around motorcycle for the money. It's rock solid in terms of reliability, easy to ride in the twisties and for long distances. It's not a sport bike, but is so sure-footed in corners where there's less than perfect roads (not like we have any of THOSE around here!). If you're a good rider, you'll be a great rider on this bike - it just inspires confidence.
Come have a look! No test rides without cash in hand. Email me at omar dot petralis at gmail dot com or send me a pm for a phone number to make arrangements to view.
