2005 R6 Race Tail, gettign it to fit????

I picked up a fiberglass race tail for my 2005 R6 and it looks like I'm gonna have to do some tinkering to get it to work. The plastic tray under the seat on the right side of the bike sticks out (see near the #19 in the pic) and I not sure what it's for. before I go and trim it off I thought I'd askto see if anyone know what the purpose of it is???

from the diagram it looks like something to run a larger wire through or group of wires. is it plastic?

yeah it plastic and one eniter piece. that's exactly what it looks like it's for but there are no wires on that side.....

welp, this is prob the worst advice but, its only plastic and from the diagram it looks like you can pull it right out. worse comes to worse it will be cheap to replace, i wouldnt worry to much about it

it all one peice and would leave a much of wires and the ECU exposed, if anythign it will get trimed

That thing always got in the way of pulling on and off my tail section. I couldn't figure out what it's use was, and cut it off with a dremel. It made getting the tail section on and off way easier.

... looked like it was for a wire harness, or maybe a tool holder... anyway, never found that I needed it after it was cut off.
