so today on the ride home from work, i noticed that my engine was ticking, it sounds like the Cam Tensioner. I know its common on these bikes, so tomorrow i will be ordering one from Honda. Hope it doesn't kill my wallet.

IF any guys got any tips on how to replace it it be great. I have watched a few vids and doesnt seem that bad or should i take it to a shop ?

I took off the fairings today to see if i could hear the noise better, I know its not injectors ticking,

But it does start to get louder around 3000-4000RPM but sounds like its coming from middle of engine.

The bike has 27,489 km on it.

Are there any other indicators that it could be the CCT

Cheers

If it only does it when the rngine is warm and anywhere between 3k-7k then it is more then likely your CCTL.
If it does it at all rpm ranges then you may need a valve job.

The CCTL is anywhere between $50-$80 depending on where you get it and if you get an automatic or manual one.

Here is how to change it: http://cbrforum.com/forum/how-mechanical-40/how-change-your-cctl-pics-116975/

Dont order a stock one put in an APE manual and you will never have a problem again
