Hello! I have a 2001 kawasaki ninja zx6r. My bike suddenly just turned off on me while i was riding, the battery is brand new bought it couple of days ago. After it turned off, i was able to get it started again and left it idling, it seemed fine again, but as soon as i kicked it into first gear it shut off (the stand was up). Turned it on again and the idle did not sound normal, kind of sounded like it was struggling to keep the bike running, when i gave it some gas with the throttle it turned off again. I came back to the bike about an hour later and it wouldnt even turn on, kept making a clicking sound. What could possibly be wrong with it?

Some initial questions...

- Did you fully charge the new battery?
- Why did you replace the battery? Having similar issues?
- Have you double checked the connections to the battery since it shut off?
- Checked battery voltage?
- Checked the sidestand sensor is functioning correctly?

Check the battery is plugged properly, screws are tight and not moving, happened to me before, vibration and bad screws on battery are a pain

Fully charged the battery, the reason I changed it was because the old battery was dead, and yes i checked the battery voltage. I will check the sidestand sensor.

like previous owner said could be a sidestand sensor issue.
