2000 CBR 600 Overheats after Oil Change

The bike was running magnificently..... then I changed the oil and now it overheats after idling for about 7-10 minutes. Water and Water Wetter is in there recently, I didnt do any changes and all the hoses are in order and not leaking.

Any ideas? The temp just keeps climbing as it's running. I'm thinking maybe I didnt burp the air out of the coolant lines properly? I'll try that tomorrow..... but I did let the air out of the rad a few times after it cooled down.

openthe rad cap and run it for a few mins....the air should come out.

I would be running gycol based stuff in this heat....my bike has a hard time keeping cool.

I heat engine ice helps a bit?

Does the system build pressure as it warms up?

FYI: WaterWetter has superior heat transfer properties compared to glycol-based antifreeze. It will drop your bike temps....

I've been looking for water wetter too and can't find it at pannon, crappy tire, wall-mart or cycle world in Mississauga. they all told me they no longer carry it or its discontinued.

I need to give rider's choice a call.
