So I've asked enough questions in the past week that I figured it was about time to support the site. Thanks everyone for their help.
My final concern (for now) with my new CBR 250r is a shifting concern. My last bike was automatic so I am new to shifting, although have driven manual transmission cars for years.
When sitting in heavy traffic I find that it is hard to move smoothly forward without heavy use of the clutch. I know its normal when inching forward in traffic that I need to pull in my clutch when getting down to low speeds and let it out slowly to avoid that jerky action. But I find even in 2nd and 3rd gear, if I am cruising along at about 30km/h if I let off the gas too quickly the bike grabs hard and throws me forward. With my car I can cruise along at 30km and not have that jerky feeling when I let up on the gas. I am presuming that its because bikes run at higher RPM's, but I'm not sure if this is normal or if I have already messed up my clutch learning how to ride.
