1993 Yamaha Seca 2 XJ600S for $1800 Good deal?

Hey everyone,
I am looking at a 1993 Yamaha Seca 2 XJ600S for $1800 as my first bike. It has 38,000 km and never been dropped. I will get a mechanic to check it before I purchase it but if it is in good condition is this a good deal?
Any advice would be great.

If it is in good shape and looks to have been well maintained, i would say that is a good deal.
 
I used to have one. Perfect first bike, even good for touring. Excellent price for one in good running condition. Check if it has centerstand, doesn't come stock.
 
Hey guys,
Thanks for your input. I actually went with a 1996 SECA II with 34,000 kms. Only one owner and was in good condition. It was a lot of fun to ride. Got it for $1500 because of a dent in the tank and it needed a jump start but I think that was only because it wasn't ridden yet this year. Can't wait to get out there. Do you have any suggestions for a good ride in Toronto (not on highways) to get to know a new bike?
