Hi there GTA members i recently bought a honda ruckus after selling my derbi gpr nude thinking i was going to get a 600 or an sv650, but since work is closer than before i decided to get a scooter. 2 years ago i had a honda ruckus and was pay 600 a year for liability coverage now people are asking for 1800-2000 a year.


now my question is how much do you pay for insurance on a scooter and are you willing to share your broker so a student can save some money

if you're willing to go from wanting a 600cc+ to a Honda Ruckus, why not just ride a bicycle if its just for work and back...you're not really gonna be using it to joyride are you?

+1 on the thread because its not a "I'm 18 years old and I wanna get an R1 and insurance is so expensive".But OP, how about an e bike? No insurance needed.

Ebikes are dangerous and slow, i want something that goes atleast 55 km, im just trying to find insurance companies i can use in mississauga

My son is 16, obviously just got his M2 this year and he has a Ruckus insured in his name. It is about $800/year from John Duffy.

bit off-topic but I just got my insurance in Alberta... $79 for the year with 2 speeding tickets! Compared to the $450 I was paying in Ontario when I had a clean record. Don't know if because it's a scooter but my car insurance is also 1/4 cheaper than what I pay in Ontario too.
