140mph crash

Why was the Mazda stopped in the middle of the highway? Why the hell was the rider looking to the left the whole time?

My guess is the Mazda was driving slow to be cautious to the motorcycles (he was most likely passed by thousands now if this is ROC).
He was probably looking left to videotape his buddy doing wheelies.

Isn't it too early for ROC? Every time I see that impact and his *** rag doll in the air, I think he's going to land okay but then he doesn't. Maybe if I watch it one more time it will be different.

....i cant even.....what a fu..... i dont even know what to say....idiot.

Agreed. I have no idea what the hell he was doing stopped in the middle of the freeway.
Maybe he had a breakdown. People have been killed running into the back of cars that break down in a driving lane. It seems incomprehensible because we don't see it every day (or ever) but it happens.

But, there is a miracle cure; it's called looking where you're going and leaving enough room to avoid a collision.

At 140mph, a car doing speed limit would look like it was standing still. To me, it looks like the car was moving and the ride was busy tracking the other rider.

yeah i think the car wasn't stopped at all. it's the bike going so fast that a slow moving car seemed standing still.
car was if not completely stopped, going at walking pace. regardless there was no reason for that car to be there and there was no reason for the idiot to be doing anything else but riding that damn bike... ouch.

lol The car wasn't stopped....

Though I don't think they were doing 140MPH.

If they were doing 140, and the car was doing 70 to be generous, it would look like the biker hitting a stopped car at 70mph.

Either way, dude should have obviously been watching the road instead of his buddy.

"I was the driver of this Mazda. Happened one year ago while on vacation in Colorado. Fun way to have your vacation ruined. As far as I know this guy did survive."

"This is my cousin. He did survive. He ended up in a coma for almost a month and then woke up. Slow recovery process. This marks a year since the accident. He is fine now and is walking and remembers everything. A walking miracle, literally."

"How much did he get ticketed?"

"It was minor and only for the accident itself."

Car was not even close to being stopped, it looks like it's going at a perfectly normal pace.

As a new-ish rider I'm a bit obsessed with these crash vids, and I'm glad to see that the vast majority of crashes are self-induced. What a 'tard.
